Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz is also known by the name Winona Ryder is a native of Winona Minnesota. The name she was given by parents for the town in which her birthplace was. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father came from a Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. They didn't have electricity. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was no television. Ryder began to study acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 13 years old. She landed her debut role on the large screen in 1986 at the age of 15 older. Ryder was bullied at high school. She hoped that her career in acting would end that. But sadly, it didn't work out. She continued to pursue her goals. Her biggest break came in 1988 with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to perform successful roles in many movies. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated at the Academy Awards. One of which was for her character in The Age of Innocence.
