Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She founded The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and owner of the independently liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. When she moved to England from Greece when she was 16 She earned an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it before the age of 21. Then she became a conservative syndicated writer after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a few years later, she developed an online voice platform which offered critiques of politics. Her fame and popularity helped in getting several high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts on politics news and culture. Arianna's popularity began in 2003, when she became an independent candidate in the California recall vote in order to replace Governor Davis. The project she headed was a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes named her as 12th on their list of the Top Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her president of the media group, which also included additional AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos the Journalism and management expert. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother, and the bond she shared with her father, even though she was very close to her father. At a young age she showed the qualities of a leader that she is still known for. In her 16th year, she returned to the UK for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she joined the college debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of master's in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a columnist critic and a television host. Additionally, she starred together with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
