Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get an appearance in Starship Troopers, a film that featured mostly minor roles, was a gruelling battle. The transition was difficult for Amy as she had change from modeling to acting. Models aren't regarded as the best actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy did her best to get noticed and eventually she was offered bigger parts beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast part in the leading role of The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years of trying. Amy went on to star in major films such as the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
