Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her acting debut came in 1996, when she appeared in The TV film Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get an appearance for Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was very intense. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting as actors were never considered skilled actors and usually got less parts. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger parts beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. After a few years Amy made the jump into more leading roles. Amy was in the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film became a massive commercial success, and Amy had finally found the recognition that she was striving for for over a decade. She then continued to appear in some of the biggest movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played an enduring character.
